An offer from ACU to the newly ordained
and others To the newly, and not
so newly, ordained who may be seeking assistance with respect to some of the liturgical tasks expected of
you as priests or deacons in parishes or other ministry contexts with a catholic tradition – whether that
be the place you are now set, or one in which you may be called to serve in the future:
The ACU has in its membership a number of
experienced clergy – men and women – who (with the blessing of your supervising priest where this applies)
would be delighted to work with you, and who, between them, can cover just about every way of presiding at
the Eucharist, from BCP to APBA.
Should you be suddenly called upon to anoint a sick
or dying person, to hear a confession, administer extended communion, or pray with a family over a
stillborn baby, are you confident that you have the necessary resources to hand, and that your readiness
to respond will assist others to encounter God’s grace through the church’s ministry at your hands?
If you would like some practical guidance, or the
chance to reflect on or discuss any aspect of such ministries – privately, or in a small group of peers –
ACU may be able to help.
In the first instance, please contact Fr Jim Brady:
